Canada, O’Leary, Prince Edward Island – used IMPERMEABLE and AFS insulation with Passive venting.
These photos were taken in the Spring of 2010 in O’Leary, Prince Edward Island, CANADA. You are seeing the turf as it appeared immediately following its uncovering. In the past, they used the straw method of insulation with success. However, this season decided to try our AFS Insulation material. GreenJacket® IMPERMEABLE covers & AFS Insulation plus Passive air venting on top of a permeable cover protected the greens from ice damage, crown hydration, desiccation, and help to keep the turf dormant during those freeze-thaw-freeze cycles, resulting in healthy green turf in the Spring.
