Frankfort, MI 09

This year at this Frankfort MI course, winter weather was extreme with plenty of ice and snowmelt causing havoc and concern throughout the area. Here are a few pictures of Hole# 7 a green that receives a lot of water due to its shape being a Bowl Shape design. Comments are directly from the Superintendent stated below.

“Here are some pictures of our bowl-shaped green. They’re pretty self-explanatory.
We apply the bunker liner then the greenjacket and tuck it all in.
We pump off the water as it melts.
GreenJackets make snow and ice removal easy, without damage to turf.
The results speak for themselves.
I am interested in instituting a modest venting system in the future for added protection.”
